"Delicatessen" by Caro and Jeunet

 

This animation is a title sequence for the French film Delicatessen. My concept deals with showing how surreal and dark this black comedy is. This title sequence begins by a dark cloudy sky and ends up inside the main building, using pipes, gutters, spider, windows, chimney to link up each scene. This gives a great sense about how the movie works. The use of charcoal for the illustrations reinforces the dark side of the comedy and offers a good colour scheme like the one in the film.

YCN: Current


I have made 3 TV ads for the Current ycn brief. As part of the requirements, we had to base our campaign on the theme of "participation". And a motion based solution was preferred to any other.
Therefore, several persons are creating a screen and its content with small green squares. We can read the catchphrase "Be part of it". Thus, the small squares remind us of the Current logotype and the pixels.
I modified a dance tune using Garage band to match the movement of the squares. The ads differ from each other by having a different pictogram: a smile, a heart and a sun. They are quite direct which communicate well what Current TV channel is about. Current lets its viewers choose what they want to watch and gives them the chance to create their own TV content.
